Geocache Description:

Not meaning to come off as morbid, but I really like cemeteries...and to be existential, they remind me of my own mortality. In my mind this is a case that let's me live my own life to fullest and pay respects who have done so in the past.

So I bring you to Mt. Hope, a quaint little church and graveyard in the old village of Conneration. I don't know much of the history of this church or cemetery, but I do know that Conneration was once the homestead of founder Thomas Conner. Thomas was born in Kilrane, Ireland in 1765 and settled here in Clarion County and was one of the first to do so. His son John, Sr, born 1800, became a succesful horse breeder. Some of their descendants still live in this area today.

The cache itself is just a small container hidden in the woods nearby. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Please be respectful and only cache in the daylight hours. Happy hunting!
