Mako (Manawatu) Traditional Cache

This is the third in our “Helicopters of RNZAF Base Ohakea” series.

Cache is small so BYOP.

Delivered in early 2011 five Agusta Westland A109LUH(NZ) Makos have been purchased to provide initial helicopter pilot and crewman training. The aircraft can also provide Light Utility capability such as VIP transport and search and rescue.

Role equipment includes rescue hoist, cargo hook, nightsun search light, MAG58 7.62mm machine gun.
