Greetings Steve and Janet Mosby,

It has been a while since I first looked at Great 'Shroom Hunt #1. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. I will assume that it is abandoned (since you haven't logged into geocaching.com since Wednesday, December 24, 2003)

Geocache Description:

A short hike in the southland.

My wife and I, as well as, nephews, buddies, and buddies' kids have had such a good time Geocaching we thought we should return the favor. We went mushroom hunting along Blue river the other day and I made note of some interesting features. Came back with zero mushrooms, but three great sites. We thought about a multicache, but it sounded more fun just to place three. They are, however, pretty close to one another.

You'll want to access the trailhead at N38 54.754, W094 34.500. You can get there by heading east on 117th Terr. from Holmes. It will "T". Take a right, then an immediate left. This will go down and dead end at the trail head, complete with handy parking. Good mountain biking here, so either enjoy, or Heads UP!

Should be a pretty easy find and put you at a good trailhead for my other caches. I've loaded this with some pretty boss outdoor gear, but do as you will. Some especially good finds for the quick. Including, but not limited to, a compass, fuel sticks, first aid kit, plus many, many more. 5-26-02 P.S. Went to check the cache and couldn't help but notice the poison ivy. So, heads up! I'll see if I can't clear it out a little.
