islander1988: Well, given another DNF, and the state of the cache site in the picture the previous cacher posted, it looks like this little lost site in the woods is no longer what it was when I hid the cache here. I guess it's time to let this one go; perhaps in the future something interesting will be here for someone else to hide a cache at.

Thanks to all the geocachers who visited the cache over the years, and congrats to the 135 people who logged a find. Time for another Islander1988 cache to sail off into the sunset.

Geocache Description:

A cache within walking distance from Arsenalna metro station.

It's interesting how in a large urban city like Kyiv, with modern high rises and millions of people, you can find places from the past that are still used but apparently no longer maintained.

The cache is at a small basketball court a little walk from Arsenalna metro station. Near the end of the court on the opposite end from the cache is a simple outdoor gym, and very close is a large field with more facilities where you're likely to see people taking advantage of the space to practice and stay fit.

The cache is a bottle top micro attached to the back of one of the basketball hoop supporting structures. You will need to bring your own pencil.

Just as a note, being a relative natural area you might come across stray dogs, especially in the early morning, so be aware of this when attempting this geocache.
