The beautiful ancient Church of St. Giles stands at the centre of the picturesque village of Sidbury.
The structural history appears to be traceable for a thousand years. The Saxon crypt under the chancel is one of only six known in Britain, and probably represents a relic chamber. There is a gunpowder storage room dating from the Napoleonic era and a 500 year old font. The tower has eight bells, the earliest dating from 1662.
The cache is not within the church grounds but is nearby. There is only room for the log, so please bring your own pen.
Congratulations to Devonianfive for FTF
