#27 From the series ' Chapels in Lesvos '


St. John of Tzitzifies

This time we reveal a secret beach of ours!
Away from people, most locals don't come here due to limited parking space.
The chapel has a ceremony at January 7, but many believers come here also at Jan, 6 every year to search for a " hairy stone " and collect "40 waves in the bottle" from sea water. Both of them are local folklore beliefs, supposed to bring good luck and health.
But Shadow, silence and peace, with lots of blue sea and sky is also a way to gain those !!
So : Relax and enjoy!
The hide is under some stones.
be discreet and don't reveal the place to non geocachers ...

Αυτή τη φορά θα σας αποκαλύψουμε ένα μυστικό μας.
Μιά κρυμένη παραλία, πολύ κοντά στην πόλη, με λίγους επισκέπτες.
Το εκκλησάκι γιορτάζει στις 7 Ιανουαρίου αλλά πολλοί πιστοί ερχονται και στις 6 , των Θεοφανείων, για να πιάσουν την "μαλιαρή" (μια πέτρα καλυμένη με φύκια) και να συλλέξουν σε μπουκαλάκι "τα σαραντα κύματα".
Και τα δύο πανάρχαιες τοπικές δοξασίες που πιστεύουν οτι φέρνουν καλοτυχία και υγεία!!
Ομως και τα δύο μπορεί να τα βρεί κανείς στην σκιά, γαλήνη και ησυχία του απέραντου γαλάζιου τοπίου.
Γι'αυτό καθήστε για λίγο εδώ και απολαύστε τα !!
Το κουτάκι είναι κάτω απο κάποιες πέτρες.
να είστε διακριτικοί και μην αποκαλύπτετε το μέρος σε μη- geocachers ...
