Anglo Zulu War 1879.
Isandlwana was the first battle of the Anglo Zulu war. An estimated 1357 British Soldiers died as a result of a great Zulu Victory. 22 January 1879.
The Cache is located on the battlefield itself. Travel to the parking lot at the end of the entrance road. From here you will find a very large cairn on the corner of the parking area. Close by there is a path that lead up a short hill where you will get a great view of the whole battlefield. Take time to enjoy the view and notice how quiet the site is. On top of the small hill you will find a square flat area. This is a good place to start the hunt. Enjoy.
This is a protected monuments area and access is limited to between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 7 days a week (closed on Good Friday and Christmas)
