Geocache Description:

A fantastic view over the Greater Manchester area within a short walk from the car park at SD906087.

The views from this area are very impressive. On a good day I've seen the faint outline of the mountains of north Wales!!

It can get quite busy with people near the monument so I hope that it is hidden out of the way enough for you to be discreet!

This cache was kindly replaced by Mancunian Pyrocacher who has asked me to take it on as I live far nearer than him.

The most direct route is via the dog walk from the car park. you can avoid this by going directly through the gates and following the path top the bottom of the hill then turning right. Alternatively there are some Public footpaths from near the Tandle Hill Tavern.

Be warned the road to the tavern is in very poor condition.
