The Swamp Spur trail in Jakes Branch winds around a field of mostly younger pines. The interior is open enough for exploration, yet dense enough, it is said, for the Swamp Thing to lurk within.
There are multiple entry points that will provide access with no bushwhacking. The container is orange, attached to a tree, and visible at eye level. Once you're in the area, move towards the tallest tree to get close. A small bounty awaits the first to find! After you're done here, cross the nearby stream to explore an interesting network of trails just outside the park boundary.
