   The Susquehanna is the longest river on the East Coast which flows through several states, including Pennsylvania. The Susquehanna River was named for the Susquhannock, a Native American tribe that lived along the river. The river flows from upstate New York, feeding off Otsego Lake near Cooperstown, through Central Pennsylvania and south to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland where it eventually empties in to the Atlantic Ocean.
