Provided: Rubbish bags, gloves and sharp objects box
Need to bring: Rubbish picker (if you have), water, sunscreen (and a raincoat if the forecast says "RAIN")
Dress code: Please wear long pants and sleeves (for your own protection) and appropriate footwear.
Note: The site may have sharp objects. Children must be accompanied at all times.
Guess what! You get a CITO Souvenir for attending this event. Also, there is a prize for the one who collects the largest volume of trash.
About the event: Along with Clean Up Australia Day, I am hosting a CITO at the Victoria Park. This park has a beautiful lake where ducks and ducklings swim around.
At 4pm, we all disperse to clean up the park. It is up to you which part of the park you would like to pick up trash from. You may encounter sharp objects in this park and thus I insist that adults accompany children at all times. At 5:30pm, City of Sydney council will pick up the rubbish from the posted coordinates.
I will be sharing this event with students at my uni and expect some muggles also cleaning up. Please feel free to invite anybody to help us clean the park.
