SPECIAL DOOR PRIZE DRAWING ON-SITE! Unactivated Geocoins! (see above for this year's version)
BONUS PRIZE DRAWING - ALL ATTENDEE LOGS WILL BE SENT TO PODCACHER.COM FOR INCLUSION IN A PRIZE DRAWING TO HAPPEN ON-AIR SOMETIME AFTER MID-JUNE - DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO ENTER!
8:45 - 8:59AM Cachers: Wait patiently in your automobile or stroll around the area.
STAY AWAY from ground zero! Do some impromptu CITO of the area. As much as you can, act like a muggle (except, do some more of that impromptu CITO stuff...) Hey - it's tourist season - dress like a tourist! (You know - raincoat, camera, fanny pack... and very bright, clean white shoes...)
8:59AM make your way toward the event coordinates.
9:00AM exactly (as determined by your GPS clock) we will place an ammocan for log sheets near the coordinates. As you arrive, we'll hand you an official event "log sheet". Participants must sign the log sheets (which will later become the log book). To qualify for attendance, drop them in the designated bucket (near the coordinates).
No log sheet? Your name may be removed from the 'attended' logs!
9:05AM we will gather and take a group photo.
9:10AM we will draw a name from the pool of log sheets for the title of First to Find (which wins a Special Prize!) and draw for the door prizes.
9:15AM exactly the log sheets will be packed up and sealed away.
The event area will be evacuated without a trace.
Feel free to plan an after-event cache run or after-event breakfast -
just remember, we HAVE to leave the area promptly at 9:15AM!!!
This event is one of a series occurring at the same time around the world - see more at the WWFM website.
Local sunrise is around 4:30am... with about 19 hours of daylight to follow! Temperature will average between 41 to 54 degrees at 9am, with a light north breeze... dress accordingly!
