Geocache Description:

A climb to 1200 ft will reward you with tremendous views of Rancho Bernardo.

Cache adopted from wolflogic via John & Jess. Thanks!

NOTE: This cache is an ammo can. If you've found something else at the flag, you have found a summit log and you have not found this cache. Coordinates given are solid so check your GPS!

Wolflogic's original cache text follows:

I look at this mountain from work and for some time I've been planning on putting a cache near the top. I've played around with several names for the cache. I considered naming after my company, but that's too commercial. Or something artsy like Untitled #1. Or meaningless, like Say Hi to the Panda. But some caches name themselves. Look a little to the left of the trail at about 1160 ft to see the inspiration for this cache's name. (Note: Rocks spelling "JANO" and the image showing JANO spelled in rocks was here and is missing - bitmap)

I planted this large tupperware container (Now an ammo can - bitmap) so that cache seekers will be visible from my office building. It is almost in a straight line between my window and the flag that marks the peak. If you are there during business hours, give a wave to the South.

The climb is steep and rocky. Leave the small kids at home. Start your hike at N33°01.328 W117°05.820. You will find the cache at 1193ft.

Initial cache contents:

  • Sleeve of 3 golf balls
  • Earth stress ball
  • Bottled water
  • Scissors (from Nature Trail Cache)
  • Shoe Polisher
  • Log book with pen and pencil
  • sub-cache created by my son. Please leave so that others may discover what a cache designed by a 5 year old looks like.
  • Other misc items
