Geocache Description:

Science Fiction is an imaginative literary genre which poses the effects of extrapolated scientific principles or discoveries on the behavior of individuals or society. Old School refers to a time before the internet, CGI movies, and cable television, when most good science fiction (with a few TV and film exceptions) was published in books or magazines. This series highlights some great classic old school science fiction stories.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

OK, so there was a lot of cheap, filler material in the old magazines. But many excellent science fiction tales started as short stories or serialized chapters in pulp magazines. In fact, most of the old masters got their published start in a science fiction magazine. And a few of those magazines are still publishing today in one form or another. This cache honors those old magazines and the great stories published in them. Study the pulp magazines below to determine the cache coordinates.

Galaxy Science Fiction, November 1972
Amazing Stories, February 1937
Astounding Stories, March 1938
