Local rumour has it that after the Battle O` Sherramuir a group of warriors from the losing side fled the battlefield and took refuge in these woods. Afraid that they would be put to the sword they hid in there only leaving to steal food and essentials. Soon they became self sufficient and spent more and more time hiding out. Having shunned civilisation (apart from capturing unwary passing locals or barbecuing the odd wandering child ) they never ventured below the line where the trail starts. This means that if you are brave enough to try and find this cache you will have two options if you suspect that you are being stalked by the Guerillas. First option is call out, quietly and in your best "Scotch" accent......... FREEDOM ... as this is the password they use to identify friend from foe... The second option is to run like the clappers back down past the start of the trail as they will not venture past there...

From the parking co-ords look NW aprox. 50 to 100 yds. where you should see a finger post pointing to the path. It is marked Pendriech road via the Mine Woods. Follow this path to the starting co-ords where you should see two fire tacks, one on either side of the track. (there are other single tacks before this to help you practice seeing the tacks.) The woods are criss crossed with paths and bike tracks but you should never be far from a marker. ( Around half way to the cache you will pass through a gap in a wall. About 75 yds to your right is GC3RR9Y Nature`s Guardienne. I hope to put a different coloured reflector on this cache soon so it can be found as a bonus.) Continue following the markers until you see three vertically placed markers . The cache is off to the side so look for the markers leading to the cache...
The trail is on fairly well used paths but they can be a bit muddy at times and roots and rocks pose a trip hazard so boots are recommended. The tacks are best seen by a light source at eye level so if you don`t have a head torch you could try some duct tape to fasten the torch behind your ear...
