This site was a pine forest from about 1930 until the mid 1990’s. The current property owner was founded in 1897 by several well know people at the time, including F. B Case, Maple City Tobacco; I.W. Bostwick, Bostwick & Burgess Manufacturing; Dr. J. Harry Fulstow, DVM; C. W. Anderson, one of the organizers of Citizens Banking Co; Mary Stewart Powers, founder of Norwalk Industrial School for Girls; Rev C.S. Aves, St. Paul Episcopal Church; W. Bebout, father of Dr. Sarah; Mrs. Sherman Culp, whose husband was an attorney & president of the Sandusky, Norwalk & Mansfield Railroad Company; H.S. Mitchell, attorney & insurance agent; Mrs T.R. Strong, Ladies Aid Societies.
