Cloudland Canyon State Park sits on Lookout Mountain in the NW corner of the state of Georgia, in a little town with the charming name of Rising Fawn! With a lot of recent land expansion, there is a LOT to do here -- miles of trails, waterfalls, etc. To celebrate the recent new land acquired and a new park manager, we are placing this cache by the original park entrance! The original wooden sign is still there!
You are looking for a medium-sized plastic container, camo'd to fit in the surroundings. Very short walk from the sign. Parking available in a gravel pull-out across the road or in nearby day use areas.
This cache is placed with permission of park manager, and in a location selected by park naturalist! :) If you encounter any of the hard-working rangers, managers and staff, thank them for expanding the park and the geocaches within!
There is a $5 daily entrance fee (per vehicle), unless you are a member of the Friends of Georgia State Parks.
