This is a presentation and social evening for both new and more seasoned geocachers as we hope that those with some experience of the hobby will come along and help us to spread knowledge and enthusiasm amongst those new to geocaching.
There will be a short presentation by twoofnine then time for some questions and chat over a cuppa.
We also hope to have one or two new caches in place close by, in time for the evening, so that anyone who wants to nip out and have some practical experience will have the chance to do just that. Perhaps this will be an opportunity for the "old hands" to help those a little newer to the hobby, or perhaps the draw of a First to Find will prove too much and it will be a demonstration of the cutthroat world of the pursuit of the FTF!! We shall see!
We would like to thank the Ballannette Trust for permission to place the new caches on their land and for the use of this great new venue complete with an animated model of the nearby Laxey Wheel and Mine. Come along and take a look. There are two parking areas opposite the centre and additional parking 50 yards away at the Laxey Wheel.
