A cache is placed near a stone marker showing Enchin's mausoleum.

Enchin円珍 (=Chisho Daishi智證大師/智証大師 814–891) was a Japanese Buddhist monk who founded of the Jimon School of Tendai Buddhism, and Chief Abbot of Miidera at the foot of Mount Hiei. After succeeding to the post of Tendai Zasu, or Chief Tendai Abbot, in 873, a strong rivalry developed between his followers and those of Ennin's at the Enryakuji. He was one of the eight priests (Saicho, Kukai, Jogyo, Engyo, Ennin, Eun, Enchin and Shuei) who travelled to Tang Dynasty China. And Enchin is known as a great artist.
The listed coordinate is near three-forked road. You are able to go to Ohie triangulation point(west), Enryaku-ji Temple Konpon-chudo Hall(north), and Cable Enryakuji Station by way of Enchin's Mausoleum(east).

円珍(814-891)は、天台寺門宗の宗祖として知られる高僧です。延暦寺第5代座主。諡号は智証大師(智證大師)。園城寺(三井寺)を賜り、伝法灌頂の道場としましたが、比叡山を山門派が占拠したため、園城寺は寺門派の拠点となりました。円珍は入唐八家(最澄・空海・常暁・円行・円仁・恵運・円珍・宗叡)の一人として、また偉大な芸術家としても知られており、弘法大師空海の姪の子(あるいは甥)であるといわれています。
公開座標付近は三叉路です。西へ登ると大比叡一等三角点、北は根本中堂方面、東へ下りると智證大師御廟を経由してケーブル延暦寺駅方面に向かいます。
