Cloudland Canyon State Park sits on Lookout Mountain in the northwest corner of the state of Georgia and covers land on both sides of the Canyon, and multiple creeks and waterfalls, as well as miles of trails to hike, bike, etc.
This cache is placed with the permission of the park manager at a location selected by the park naturalist.
Like all state parks, there is a $5 entrance fee per vehicle unless you are a member of the Friends of GA State Parks.
This cache is a small camo'd plastic container.
Follow signs to the Interpretive Center and park near it. On foot, follow the Overlook path until the wood rail fence ends. The cache is near a little crooked tree on the INSIDE edge of the trail (away from the canyon). Please use stealth as there are picnic tables nearby and this is a popular hike to viewpoint of the Canyon; frequent muggle traffic. After logging your find and replacing the container carefully out of sight, take a few more minutes and walk another 150' to a spectacular overlook platform with views of the canyon and Bear Creek!
NOTE: This cache can only be hunted by daylight!
