CCSP: Y did the Rabbit go to the Tree? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Bear-Cat: Clearly this hiding place has gone the way of all natural things in a hardwood forest. So, we’ll let this one go, and place a new cache in the area soon to replace it.

Geocache Description:

Stenciled ammo box along the Backcountry Loop Trail in Cloudland Canyon State Park.

The 2-mile Backcountry Loop Trail in Cloudland Canyon State Park meanders along a creek, through a hardwood grove and past 10 excellent backcountry camp sites.  Park at the main trailhead.  The shortest way to this cache is to go left at the first trail junction, but we encourage you to walk the entire loop!

The cache you seek is an ammo box, stenciled with Geocaching logo.  Placed with permission of the park manager and park naturalist.

The tree that the cache title refers to should be very obvious, right by the trail.  The cache is within 20' of the trail.

This is a daylight-only find, unless you are staying at one of the backcountry campsites along the trail!

There is a $5 daily entrance fee per vehicle unless you are a member of the Friends of Georgia State Parks.
