Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Dash for a Cache Race.

If you love racing against other cachers for a cache, then this event is for you.

If you love caching and having a good time outdoors, then this event is for you.

If you love meeting people while having fun, then this event is for you.

The Dash for a Cache Race will take place of the 18th of May and begin at 12:00 pm.   Please note the posted coords are where the meeting and talking part of the event will take place but not where the race will begin.

The final part of the race will be near this point.

You will not know where the race takes place until the 18th of May at 12:00 pm when 6 sets of coords will appear below.

1. Nishihara Dif 2 Terrain 2 N 26° 13.514 E 127° 45.052 Hint: nook in base of tree
2. Naha Dif 2.5 Terrain 2 N 26° 11.175 E 127° 40.556 Hint: Tree roots, don't fall.
3. Tomigusku (coast) Dif 2.5 Terrain 1.5 N 26 09.191 E 127 38.879 Hint: UPR in hole on ground.
4. Tomigusku (inland) Dif 2.5 Terrain 1.5 N 26° 10.298 E 127° 41.587 Hint: Magnetic, reach into hole
5. Yaese Dif 1 Terrain 1 N 26 09.007 E 127 43.794 Hint: Magnetic
6. Urasoe Dif 1.5 Terrain 1 N 26 15.295 E 127 44.020 hint: Magnetic

You will need to be watching this page to get the coords at 12:00 pm.  At those 6 coords there will be a cache.  All of the caches will be in the Southern Half of Okinawa. That is south of Chatan/Okinawa City. In 1 of those caches will be some North coordinates.  In 1 of the caches will be the East coordinates.  In 1 of the caches there will be a hint.  The other 3 caches will be just new regular caches that contain nothing about the event.   So as you can see the first part of the race is a matter of luck.  But you will have the chance to get 3 FTF's.

Once you get the North and East coordinates along with the hint you will have the location of the first part of a multi-staged cache which will be in the area of the actual event.  Now you must complete the multi cache and the first cacher to find the final stage of this multi will be the winner.  The winner must take a picture of the information on the inside lid of the final container and show it to me (Big Dave) who will be waiting at a nearby Pavillion (the posted coords) to give the prize.   First price will be something nice and a list of the solutions to ALL of my puzzle caches.  Everyone else who finds the final stage will get consolation prizes of a booklet containing step by step instuctions to solve ALL of my puzzle caches.

For those who do not or can not partake in the race, you are free to just meet at the posted coords for the social part of the event. I suspect the winners will complete this race around one or two o clock. You can come anytime you like. Either way you can get a smiley for being here.

Just to clarify the rules of the race.

Cachers are allowed to team up and travel together to complete the race. But teams are not allowed to split up and share info via mobile or such device. That wouldn't be fare for all. Same applies for the final multi staged cache. All cachers must find each stage of the multi to be eligible for the prize. If you all turn up at the first stage at the same time. You may team up and complete the whole multi together and then a Battle Royal will take place for the grand prize. Above all just have fun!

Please note,  I will not supply food and drinks.  Please bring your own.  The area of the event has parking, restrooms and drink machines.

I hope you will enjoy the Event.
