Not sure we even noticed this was a park until they landscaped it sometime in 2013. There are no signs. It is not listed on any maps (that we could find). They have added some benches which seem to be a dead giveaway that this is a park. It should have been just another lot with a house on it. Perhaps it was too small, too oddly shaped or would have put the house too close to the road. We checked the state taxation and assessments records and sure enough this is a Rockville City Park. Since you never see anyone here except a few large rocks placed along with the benches, we knew it was time to have our own Tiny Often Empty Park cache.
This cache is part of the "Tiny Often Empty Park Tour". Note the cache that started it all. It's called "Tiny Often Empty Park (#1): North Brunswick, NJ" (GCR1V3) (now archived).
The cache itself is a camouflaged micro and is not on or near the ground. It is not on any private fences or near the street. The best parking is on Baltimore Road although this is permit only 8-5 M-F. During permit only hours, use the alternate parking coordinates. There is no parking on Stonestreet so do not stop there. The park is a short walk from the Rockville Metro as well. No room for any trade items or a pen so please bring your own (byop).
This is a busy intersection so be careful of traffic, especially if you have children or pets with you. As mentioned, the park is empty but the area can be busy so watch out for muggles. Please, no night caching.
