Not Quite Woody is situated on the City of Ottawa's amazing Torbolton Forest property in the beautiful shoreline communities of Constance Bay and Buckham's Bay. The pine plantation that dominates this site was planted many decades ago as part of a misguided effort to stabilize a natural dune complex, similar to the Pinhey Dune in the Greenbelt. It's an excellent spot for hiking (skiing or snowshoeing in the winter), walking/cycling, observing wildlife and connecting with nature.
Not Quite Woody contains 3 more trading cards of local species at risk that you can see at different times of year in this part of the Lac Deschênes-Ottawa River Important Bird Area (IBA) and surrounding areas. There are 26 cards in the full set - collect them all by visiting other geocaches in the region!
