I wanted to place a special cache to reward the effort of finding the 6 FURF caches along the new stretch of the Kinnickinnic River Trail. The best places to hide such a cache along the trail had me exploring the north side of the trail above the river. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that this edge of the river is also the site of some temporary structures that appear to be occupied at present. Rather than trespass upon their property, I sought another location that was nearby, but not on the trail.
To find the location of FURF’S FINALE, you need to replace the 6 letters in the encoded coordinates above with the numbers you can find IN or NEAR the FURF 1-6 caches.
This cache is located on private property with the permission of the general manager, John Hauper. It is available only during business hours. Mon-Thur: 11am-10pm. Fri & Sat: 11am-Midnight. Sunday 10am-10pm. If the gate is open, walk right in and make the find. If the gate is locked, you can access the cache by walking through the building to the patio doors. If you come and the business is closed, you’re out of luck.
The cache contains a few non-travel bugs and 5 non-geocoins, 1 for each of the first 5 visitors.
