Geocache Description:

Saturday 19th April 2014 from about Noon till 4.00pm ish.

Although we are from the North East we have been visiting the beautiful village of Broadhembury regularly now for nearly 13 years because of a family connection.

We have come to love this lovely Devon village tucked away to the south of the Blackdowns Hills and now regard this village as our “adopted village” and “our home away from home.”

We have seen many changes in the last 13 years with friends we knew who have unfortunately passed away or moved from the village and new friends who have moved in

We hosted our 1st Geocaching event in the village in 2011 and it was a "rip roaring success". So due to repeated requests we hosted another in 2012. So we're hosting another in 2014 to hopefully keep the tradition going. Unfortunately due to work commitments we couldn't host one in 2013 so we hope to do 2 this year and this is the 1st one.

In fact we even have a Multi cache in the village! How about trying it when you come over?

So this is chance for everyone to shrug off the workday blues and relax on a saturday afternoon with a drink and with caching friends or even meet new ones!

It's chance to meet greet and chat over all the caches you can’t find or don’t know where to place or even swap coin numbers.

We will be in the Drewe Arms (hopefully in the Beer Garden if he weather in nice!) on Saturday 19th April from about Noon till about 4.00pm or until we leave (as we don’t have far to stagger!)... so pop in and have a drink and a natter with us. We might even let you know the name of the elephant in the tree! You have to see Can you do the Broadhembury Bimble? (GC2DQGE) for that one!

The Drewe Arms does excellent food. We can testify to that! "Basket meals and "speciality foods" will be avaliable on the day. You won't be disappointed! The current Menu can be found at this link:

Daniel and Kate our hosts, would like an indication of numbers who might eat, so please mention this in your " will attend" log and we will contact the venue for you on the 16th and let them know final numbers for people wanting to eat.
