Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed to highlight a hidden green/quiet spot in Kingsway village development. Kingsway Village is located three miles south of the City of Gloucester, England, next to the suburb of Quedgeley. Kingsway Village lies on the edge of the River Severn. The site was started in 2006 with most major housing developers on site.

A convenience store, Coffee shop, Estate Agent, Chemist, Vets and the pub' currently occupy the local centre. A sports pavilion and a community centre are currently being built, and the village has 2 primary schools: Kingsway Primary School and Waterwells Primary Academy.

On 14 October 2013, a superstore has been built and is now open at the entrance to the village

It has a very active Residents Association, started by Barry Kirby and Clive Barton in June 2008, that holds public meetings, community fun days and other local events, and lobbies local agencies and organisations involved in the development, on behalf of residents.

Kingsway comes under the Parish of Quedgeley, and is in the City Council Ward of Quedgeley Fieldcourt. For the County Council purposes it is part of the new ward of Grange and Kingsway.

The cache is on an area with public right of way, ease of access will be dependant on recent weather as area may be muddy. Plant growth could also make things more difficult for the less agile.

Please replace the cache in the exact same spot on completion.
