Redroaming: Time to put this CITO event to bed! I would like to thank each and everyone who attended for their support, their enthusiasm, their community spirit, and everything else as I really felt very chuffed and proud of my fellow geocaching friends who came along to support this event - yes, I know, you were after the souvenir for your profile really [;)] but nevertheless I was and still am very overwhelmed by your support, your keenness to clear those beaches and 100% enjoyment of the afternoon.

Geocache Description:

A chance to show our gratitude to the environment which we enjoy so much while out and about geocaching - come and join us at this CITO [cache in trash out] event which has been organised for the Geocaching International CITO weekend 26-27th April 2014. PLUS help rosekate to celebrate her birthday!

We have arranged with Teignbridge District Council to clear the rubbish following the winter storms on Back Beach and an adjacent beach in Teignmouth on Sunday 27th April 2014. Bags, gloves and litter-pickers are being kindly provided, but please bring your own if possible in the hope that many many people attend! Some of the rubbish on the beach is wood which we need to stack in one place, so please bring garden rakes if possible as well! [some rakes will be provided]
Plenty of parking is available nearby [Quay Carpark] which is pay and display - unfortunately Teignbridge are unable to offer a discount on this charge so please arrange to car-share if possible. Leave the Quay Carpark walking the short distance down Gales Hill straight on to the beach - pushchairs and wheelchair accessible until one reaches the sand!
Teignbridge have very kindly offered to collect and dispose of all the rubbish we collect, or we can take home the recycling rubbish [tins, plastic bottles, glass bottles, paper, etc] if wished.

meet at Back Beach, Teignmouth, at 2.00 pm pick up rubbish / rake up wood
return to meeting point mission-accomplished at 3.00 pm and SIGN LOG BOOK!!!
adjourn to local pubs or picnic on the tidy beach to celebrate rosekate’s birthday!
Everyone who attends and signs the log, then logs “Attended” will earn this year’s CITO souvenir for their geocaching souvenir page.
