Cache In Trash Out (CITO) needs you.
One weekend each year, geocachers from around the world join together to help remove trash from geocaching-friendly locations.
When: Sunday 27th April 2014 commencing at 9.00am
Where: 'Green Patch' near the Mulgrave River just South of Gordonvale
How to get there: Heading south from Gordonvale along the Bruce Highway, cross the Desmond Trannore Bridge which spans the Mulgrave River. At S17 06.098 E 145 47.473 (Reference Point 1), negotiate a sharp left hand turn off the Highway and now proceed north and cross over the old Mulgrave River Bridge. At S17 06.035 E 145 47.249 (Reference Point 2), turn right into the parkland area.
What to wear: Comfortable shoes; Broad brimmed hat; Sunscreen.
What to Bring: Gardening gloves for the CITO clean-up; drinking water; camera; snacks to have when the clean-up is completed.
CITO rubbish bags will be provided and all rubbish collected will be transported for disposal by Wazza&Kara to the Cairns Regional Council Dump site.
Each person who logs an 'Attended" for this CITO Event will earn a 2014 CITO souvenir for their Geocaching profile ........ and a sense of accomplishment.
