Ernfold SD Traditional Cache

A small cache big enough for trackables or swag and hidden near the closed and locked gate of what once was Ernfold School. My hubby aka Happy Feet did not attend this school but family members did.
Heritage lies in the Georgian Revival-inspired architecture. Built in 1919 to serve the growing population, the building was not just a school but a place for community dances and socials and other celebrations. The building was used for education until 1972. The Baptist church took it on until 1989. Located on a rise of land next to the south entrance road its the oldest building in the community and remains a landmark. The building has a red brick veneer and large window walls which allow light into the former classrooms. Quite picturesque.
