This Site was the location of Sir John Herbert's home, this gentleman went on to own Neath Abbey monestary and much of the surrounding land.
Deep in the Ruins of old Herberts house,
Lies a tin from a country famous for grouse,
Find the rock with hair of green,
behind the pile the tin can be seen,
