Geocache Description:

A beautiful walk through the Butterfly Trees then a great trail through the dunes. Perfect for all ages.

Mac's Cache: Named for our daughter Mckenna. She loves to geocache! This is our first cache placed! Start at The Butterfly Trees Parking area. Please take the time to enjoy this beautiful park. Each year thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies flock to Pismo Beach, seeking shelter from the freezing northern winters. From late October to February, the butterflies cluster in the limbs of a grove of Eucalyptus trees at Pismo State Beach. The grove is easily accessible. It is located on State Highway 1 at the south boundary of the city limits of Pismo Beach. To seek the cache take the dune trail south. Please replace the cache just as you found it and respect the surrounding wildlife. Stay on the trails. No need to hop the fence. Keep looking and you will find a way around. Replace cache just as you found it! Trade UP, Trade Equal Or Trade Nothing! Good Luck! 11/28/14 Updated container to make it a little more Muggle resistant as the old one got Muggled! Same location. To honor "Peace Bug",which was lost with the cache when it was taken, please help to spread some peace when you are enjoying this beautiful area. Thanks! 12/28/14 Cache was Muggled again! New location is a bit more inconspicuous but not far from the original location. 3rd times a charm! New location is often guarded by a beautiful Osprey! Good luck!
