At a crossroads of many well used public footpaths across farmland . The cache can be found coming from several directions and alternative starting points with lots of other caches on route including the Holy Well on the outskirts of Southam.
A small homemade disguise made from natural materials. It is located at a crossroads of several footpaths on the Stoneythorpe Estate. Home of a large polo ground (we convinced my daughter that it is because of their love of mints the horses got there name!) The ponies are very friendly and may well come up to say hello and see if you have any of the aforementioned mints. There are lots of other livestock on the estate so if you are making a day of it be prepared to also see sheep and highland cattle. The footpath can get very muddy in wet weather. Hidden on a walk with my Mother and Sisters on Mother’s Day telling the children tales of when we all as children played on the estate many moons ago. From the cache you get a glimpse of the wonderfully restored Stoneythorpe Hall and is not far from the site of the old Mill. Sadly now only a few stones and the floor remain. I used to be terrified as a child of the witch and the ghost of the one legged man that my Sisters convinced me lived in the mill.
