På Holsneset ved Leknes står det første skiltet over området. Det viser hva du kan finne i det eldgamle kulturlandskapet. Her finnes restene av et stort hustuftanlegg, bebodd ca. 100-200 e.Kr. Her finnes også Nord-Norges største nausttuft, 44 m langt, fra vikingtiden. På Holsøya litt lenger ut, er det 61 gravrøyser av ulike typer, mange med bautasteiner. Området har ellers ei flott sandstrand og er fint å ferdes i. On Holsneset at Leknes is the first sign of the area. It shows what you can find in the ancient cultural landscape. Here are the remains of a large hustuftanlegg, inhabited approx. 100-200 AD It also Northern Norway's largest boathouse, 44 m far from the Viking Age. On Holsøya little further out, it is 61 burial mounds of various kinds, many with monoliths. The area has also a beautiful beach and is nice to walk in.
