Mount Rushmore is a National Park located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It commemorates four of our greatest presidents. Theodore Roosevelt is in the third position on Mount Rushmore. He was our 26th president. He is known for building the Panama Canal and greatly expanding our system of national parks and national forests. His foreign affairs policy is best summed up in his most famous saying, "Speak sofly and carry a big stick." Teddy Roosevelt may be best know for the Teddy Bear, which was named for him.
