CITO - Brandon to Bishop Auckland Walkway.
This event will take place on Saturday 26th April 2014 between 10am and 1pm. The given co-ordinates are for the cricket club car park, although this may change. An announcement will be made if this happens. It won't be much further away since the track that follow the old railway line goes to Bishop Auckland.
We have very few CITOs around here, so on the weekend of the 12th Annual CITO weekend we thought we would have two in County Durham, at either sides of the county. This one, and GC516CB at Castle Eden Dene near Peterlee on the day after (27th April) so cachers can attend at least one, hopefully both, gain a smiley or two for attending and also a CITO souvenir for their profile.
There will be someone at the car park so if you can’t make 10am then you can come along later. There is also no requirement to stay for the entire three hours. All we ask is you give the time and energy that you can to give a little back to our countryside - after all, it is our playground.
We will supply rubbish bags, pickers and gloves, but if you have your own please bring them along.
Many thanks to John Butler, head ranger from Durham County Council for his help and assistance in organising this event. Also of course, for his permission.
