BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH
Baptists have been worshipping in Llantwit Major since 1819 and the church was formally constituted with the present church building completed in 1830.
In 1878 the church statistics were shown in English for the first time. It would appear that this was the time when the church officially became an English language church.
During 2009 the Grade 2 Listed Church Building was given permission to be refurbished and in November 2011 the refurbishment of the Main Area along with the Entrance Vestibule was carried out.
Over the years the church has maintained strong links with the RAF camp at St Athan and with the students at Atlantic College a number of which attend the church on a regular basis.
