St Michael and All Angels St. Michael’s Church lies in a small valley in the Hamlet of Llanmihangel which is equidistant between the historic town of Llantwit Major to the south, and the market town of Cowbridge to the east. This Medieval Church was first publicised in 1254 and to this day does not have any electricity, the only form of lighting being oil lamps. Again, like many churches in the parish, it dates back to the 13th century, while its dedication points to its having a Norman foundation. It has a large, simple font, stone benches in the porch, a harmonium for musical accompaniment, and a sense of peace and tranquillity that never seems to leave it. The church's registers go back to 1755 and it is also a Grade 2* listed building.
Parking is available directly on the road alongside the Church. A key can be obtained from Plas Llanmihangel opposite. “If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list” Congratulations to The ColliCrew on FTF
