Geocache Description:


In front of you at 1407 E. Cabrillo Blvd (oceanside of street) is the mansion of the late Huguette Clark titled Bellosguardo. She gained her wealth in the copper industry and died in 2011 at the age of 104 leaving an estate of over $300 million behind. According to many sources, the elitist had not visited the mansion since the 1950s but it was still fully staffed & maintained at a cost of $40,000 per month. Clark's last wishes was for Bellosguardo to become a museum open to the general public. It is currently tied up in the court system & with the IRS. Rumor has it that the mansion features several priceless paintings. The mansion has an estimated value of $85 million.
