Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the South side of the Forest Park, close to the Lough Navar air quality and weather monitoring station, which is part of the Northern Ireland Automatic Rural Monitoring Network.

As you obviously must not go too close to any of the equipment (which is fenced off in any case), we have set up our own little weather station close by for you to record your measurements and sign the log at. When placed, it was 10C.

You will need to err on the side of caution to avoid the muggles from the nearby houses!

Access is from the Glenashaver Road - there is a driveway marked "Larkspur" to be found between the entrance and exit roads of the main Forest Drive.  This looks like a private driveway but is actually also access for the monitoring station which is found about 100 yards up the lane on the right.  There is ample room to park and turn by the gate at the entrance to the site so don't be afraid of going up there! If you are in a larger vehicle or miss the Larkspur turnoff, as you approach from Derrygonnelly, take the next immediate right instead a few yards later and it loops in. This approach has a slightly wider driveway.
