Forte Bravetta è uno dei quindici forti costruiti sul finire del XIX secolo a difesa di Roma, da poco capitale del Regno d'Italia.
Durante il periodo fascista fu adibito a luogo di esecuzione delle sentenze di morte del Tribunale speciale per la difesa dello Stato. Un monumento, posto accanto l'ingresso del forte, ricorda le fucilazioni di settantasette patrioti, eseguite nel periodo di occupazione tedesca, fra l'11 ottobre 1943 e il 3 giugno 1944, per ordine del Tribunale militare di Guerra germanico e per mano della Gestapo di Herbert Kappler.
Forte Bravetta è una delle pochissime zone accessibili della Riserva Naturale della Valle dei Casali, sulla carta un'area naturale protetta, che è stata tuttavia occupata e recintata abusivamente da alcuni privati, rendendola, di fatto, non fruibile ai cittadini.
La prima cache si trova nelle vicinanze di una torretta militare.

Forte Bravetta is one of the fifteen forts built in the late nineteenth century to defend Rome, recently the capital of the Kingdom of Italy.
During the fascist period it was used as a place of execution of death sentences of the Special Court for the defense of the State. A monument, located next to the entrance of the fort, recalls the executions of seventy-seven patriots, carried out during the period of German occupation, between 11 October 1943 and 3 June 1944, by order of the Germanic Military War Court and by the Gestapo by Herbert Kappler.
Forte Bravetta is one of the very few accessible areas of the Valle dei Casali Nature Reserve, ideally a protected natural area, which was nevertheless occupied and fenced illegally by some private individuals, making it, in fact, not available to citizens.
The first cache is located near a military turret.
