2001 Michael Hanson - 40 Traditional Cache

Know as “Boat Doctor”, Mike Hanson was one of the few boat builders that also drove. A week before the 2001 Gold Cup race his boat suffered major hull damage and the Gold Cup race looked out of reach. Working day and night he and his crew made repairs and won the race here with an average speed of 140.022 MPH.
