This is a series of 26 caches that form a 12+ km loop with a height variation of 300+ M, culminating with an impressive viewpoint on top of McLean Creek Hill. Be forewarned -- there are a number of altitude reversals along the route, the worst being at the SE end, ie: up, then down, then up again. Because of that, it might be better to do the circuit counter-clockwise, when you're still relatively fresh.... If the gate is closed at the start of McLean Creek Road, it's an additional 700 M to the 1st cache. If the gate is open, (May 1 - Nov 30), you can drive up to the 1st cache and there is some room to park on the road. You will be following an off-road trail for most of the length of the loop. The caches are all fairly straightforward to locate, although some might be more difficult to find because of the well-camoed containers.
McLean Creek Trail
Cache is a small plastic jar which contains only a log. Please bring your own writing thingie.
Congrats to CanadianRockies for getting the first 10 FTFs of this series!l
