Geocache Description:

The Rivers Trail between the Pioneer Park boat launch and the Yellow Head highway bridge needs some work. Between 10 AM & noon on Sunday the 27th come and help out.

This area includes range of activities which leads to a range of garbage. There's litter around the skate park and tires on the beach. At the boat launch there are liquor bottles and in Peterson Creek there are ballons (or at least there were the day I was there exploring).

There is also a variety of terrain from paved paths to the rocky embankment in front of the yacht club so there is something for everyone.

Meet at the coordinates which are between the horseshoe pitch and the skate park. Pick up bags and gloves if you need them and let me know which area you are going to take on. When you are done come back with your garbage and sign the log. That's all there is to it! (If you have collected big stuff I can pick it up.)

There are two homeless camps in the trees but they are set well back so you won't have any trouble giving them lots of space.

If you need any other reason to come there are at least 10 caches in this area - if you haven't already got them.

THANKS ALL! I DROPPED 90 KILOS OFF AT THE DUMP PLUS THE STUFF THAT WENT ONTO METAL RECYCLING (WHERE DID THE SUMP PUMP COME FROM?) PLUS WHAT THE CITY TOOK FOR US. MAYBE NOT A LOT OF WEIGHT BUT A LOT OF UGLY STUFF OFF THE SHORELINE!
