Japan Film Series # 09
The Burmese Harp is a 1956 black-and-white film directed by Kon Ichikawa.
At that time in 1956, it was not able to send a large-scale film crew in Burma. Most of them have been taken in Japan. The Rakuju-en was one of the location taken this film.
In 1985, Ichikawa remade the film with different actors.
The cache is set up near the Rakuju-en.

キャッシュは、楽寿園の近くに設置しました。この楽寿園の森は、1956年製作の映画「ビルマの竪琴」（監督：市川 崑）の撮影に使用されました。当時はビルマ（現：ミャンマー）に大掛かりなロケをすることが出来ず、その殆どが日本国内で撮影されています。楽寿園の森は、日本軍が敗走するジャングルという設定でロケが行われました。（市川監督は、後年(1985)に中井貴一主演でリメイクしています。この時はタイでオールロケしています。）
