Comstock Avenue is named in Horor of General Cyrus Ballou Comstock 1831-1910. He was a West Point class of 1855. He served as Chief of Engineers for the Army of the Potomic and the Department of the Tennessee, before being called to the staff of Ulysses S. Grant. He served with Grant for the majority of the Civil War. And was present in 1864 Overland Campaign to final capitulation of the Army of Northern Virginia.
