Welcome to the upper portage of the Pacolet River Paddling Trail.
The trail is being developed for recreational kayak and canoeing enthusiasts. Canoe and kayak take-outs and put-ins in Pacolet are two of the key designated sites of the trail.
This cache is near the take-out area, and gives a unique view of above the dam. The take-out area is above the new Lockhart Power Company power plant.
If the gate is open, you can drive into a second parking area, but if not, please park in the area of the "Parking" waypoint coordinates and get ready to walk...
