Geocache Description:

The coordinates are for the main entrance to what was once Saint Patrick's House, a nursing home run by the Petites Soeurs de Pauvre, where my Great Grand Aunt Leila spent her final years before her peaceful death in 1892. But unfortunately, there is nothing of interest hidden here.

Leila's room was said to have been on the second floor, which would have provided her with an unobstructed view of the Chaplain's house across the street. That house stands alone in an otherwise long row of terraced buildings, the neighbouring dwellings keeping a respectful distance away. As one would expect, there is no shortage of stories about this mysterious building, No.666, South Circular Road.

I've always wondered if, from her vantage point, Leila was ever witness to supernatural occurrences or occult activities.

Then last year, (while I was clearing the attic of another elderly aunt's house), I found the following antiquated drawing, which I have subsequently learned to be known as an octaptych.

Could this be Leila's own drawing?

My interest was piqued when I read the handwritten date on the reverse: Dublin, 1888. Could this have once been in Leila's possession? What might it signify? I have been unable to make much sense of it. From my research so far, the first panel would seem to be a depiction of a verse from the Book of Revelations, 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it ... and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds". I have also discovered a somewhat similar work which was commissioned for the Hospices de Beaune; a French connection, if you will.

But that's as far as I have got; staring at the images makes me tired, unnaturally tired, almost as if falling under the influence of some unseen ether ...

Perhaps you will have better fortune than I?

Please note that at the time of this publication, I have found 666 geocaches. I was planning to log this geocache to mark that particular milestone, but I just couldn't do it; I fear some dark forces were at work ...
This may or may not be of relevance here.
