Geocache Description:

Cache is at the posted coordinates, another MEAPS (Monk-E Arms Pillbottle Special).  The challenge to this one is to log 26 other caches that fulfill the additional logging requirement.

Find a cache in a city (incorporated or unincorporated), town, village, hamlet, etc. that begins with each letter of the English alphabet.. All past and future finds are eligible for submission to fulfill this challenge.  Prove your fulfillment of the challenge by a shared bookmark, a list in your log, or an emailed GSAK file. Please, for my sake, annotate your list with the location name. Thank you.

You may visit and the cache and post a note here if you are working towards satifying the challenge requirement, and then log here your "Found It" when the challenge is complete.

This is a copy of GC2D30A Alphabet City Challenge.  Its CO, at time of placement, was unaware of the similar cache in Texas, GC1WWH7 (whose page says it was "blatantly stolen from 9Key and AD0OR (See GC1E28V)".  I signed the log on our family trip out to California last summer and am just a Y- name away from getting to log the "Found It," which I hope to do this summer after grabbing a cache in Yankton, SD.

That cache allowed for a "wild-card" cache -

"Because there are no cities in California that begin with the Letter X and it is very very uncommon in the world, a city with the letter X in the name qualifies (e.g. caleXico, eXeter or oXnard)."

This led to my choice of location to hide this challenge, as the GSAK macro alerted me to the existence of Bixby, IL - and so I am using a cache nearby to fulfill my X- location.

While I have determined that Illinois actually has cities, villages, townships, etc that start with every letter of the alphabet, I will allow you one wildcard letter of your choosing where the letter appears in the middle instead of at the start.  Please note your wildcard location letter on your list.

You may not count your own hides.  Sorry, it must be Finds.

Enjoy the journey, and cache on!

Congratulations to LFrank (and Denmother) on being FTF!
