Wemian is a term used for a resident of Wem.The meaning of wem comes from the saxton founders which meant 'Marsh' it has been spelt Wemme, Weme and finally Wem. The marshy grounds refers to the area surrounding the river Roden which flows through the town. We have named these caches where you may encounter a wemian or two. The recreation ground can be a high muggle area at certain times of the day so stealth is needed or the use of a geo hound which may come in handy.This cache is best approached from the field side of the hedge. We hope you enjoy your geo hunt around the outskirts of wem and the town itself. This is our 1st cache with more to follow in number order,some co ords may be a little out due to trees and surrounding areas, the hints will help..... There is parking near to wemian 3 for access to number 2-9 or pay and display at the town carpark, some caches can be done by car as drive bys, but we recommend you take the time to walk around our lovely town. Please bring your own pens, tweezers may be needed for some caches. All log sheets must be signed or they will be deleted :)
